Can't afford an ad in the Examiner? No worries, they might plug you and your advertising firm at absolutely no cost to you! Apparently "Each week, The Examiner showcases an advertising campaign by a local company." How nice! This week's offering is the Wallaby Yogurt Company campaign dreamed up by the craftsmen of Gauger & Associates.

Our plan was two-fold: we wanted to reach out to new customers who shop for organic yogurt, and build loyalty among Wallaby’s current consumers. We identified a key target audience of “Mom Mavens” who influence the buying habits of their peer groups.
Mom mavens? The feature not only prominently displays the advertisment in question but has a Q&A with the advertising companies who essentially regurgitate ad copy and occasionally shill for more work, like D.J. O'Neil of Hub Media who lists his next project as "Getting some new business. Know anyone?" It seems like there might be a better way to plug local businesses outside of spinning advertising as news. -Andy Wright
