Curbed SF linked to the new plans for the Transbay Transit Center yesterday. The center will be designed by Hines and Pelli Clarke Pelli associates. The plans call for a "five and half acre public park that will sit atop the new transit center" functioning as a "green roof" and an "elegant" 12,000-foot office tower that will become the tallest building west of Chicago. Renderings of what the building will look like can be found on the company's web site. It's basically a towering glass techno penis that may or may not serve as an escape pod for Scientologists when the end is nigh and brings our city ever closer to the goal of looking like a futuristic city from a movie made in 1981. -Andy Wright
