Scientists Discover Mysterious, Gross Ocean Creatures

The Associated Press reports that Austrailian scientists conducting an extensive survey of the Arctic ocean floor have turned up a plethora of bizarre sea creatures, including giant worms and spiders. Martin Riddle, who led the expedition, told reporters that the animals had "fins in various places" and "funny dangly bits around their mouths". The expedition also uncovered fields of tiny plankton eating creatures that "resemble slender glass structures up to a yard tall." School children everywhere will be adding giant sea spiders and worms to their list of things to be terrified of, right after Devil Frogs. –Andy Wright
