The Chronicle predicted big storms for today:
"...Saturday's storm will really pack a punch, according to the National Weather Service. Some forecasters are already comparing it to the Jan. 4 system that battered Northern California with hurricane-force winds and knocked out power to more than 2 million customers of Pacific Gas and Electric Co."Power outages and flooding are just some of the treats that may be in store for SF'ers. But the parade must go on! The Chinese New Year Parade, that is. Organizers will drape the iconic giant dragon in a huge sheet of plastic. -Andy Wright
