Tonight two researchers will present their findings on the future effects of climate change on the food supply around the world and what those changes could mean for consumers (full disclosure: I hate the word consumers. Why not, you know, people?). The talk will be lead by Dr. W. Michael Hanemann, Director of the California Climate Change Center at UC Berkeley and Dr. David Lobell, a Senior Research Scholar at Stanford University's Program on Food Security and the Environment. Whew, that was a mouthful. It's free, and word has it there will be a reception chock full of morsels from the farmer's market, to give you a taste of what you're going to miss when the world melts.
