Comic Book Legal Defense Fund Benefit At 111 Minna

While it's never occurred to me that comic book artists in this day and age would particularly need legal defense against censorship, apparently it's so, and likewise the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is throwing a benefit party at 111 Minna Gallery this Saturday, Feb. 23rd (8-11 p.m.) to raise funds for their First Amendment work. So if you hate censorship and love comic books -- and really, who doesn't? -- check it out. You'll also have the opportunity to snatch up what's sure to be some stunning artwork. Here's a little bit about the Fund's mission:

"In the past five years, the CBLDF has raised over $200,000 to pay expenses related to defending freedom of speech and expression, and the battle continues. As new waves of conservatism flood the publishing industry and the country, the CBLDF continues to raise the money and awareness needed to fight the censors every step of the way."
