Question answered: after a brief quip by SFist last week about that ubiquitous dude who hangs out around Market holding the big, yellow "JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU" sign, the good folks over at whatimseeing decided to find out exactly who he is. Here's the scoop:

  • Age: 43

  • Length of protest: 8 years

  • Purpose of campaign: "I don't believe in going to church or reading the Bible. I can't explain why not. All I do is convey this message," Jose says, pointing to his sign. "If a few people read and understand this message, that is enough."
