All right, this is getting eerie. It’s strange enough that a massive ship would plough into a Bay Area bridge and a dangerous wild beast would escape from the zoo — but for it to nearly happen again?
Yesterday, a fuel barge barged into the Richmond Bridge. And, according to the Chronicle, both a polar bear and snow leopard very nearly duplicated Tatiana the Siberian Tiger’s feat of fleeing from their pens at the San Francisco Zoo (no word on whether the would-be escapees are bouncing a baseball off the walls of their cells as we speak).
What’s next? More supervisors living out of their districts? More mayoral adultery? More homicides (uh, probably).
We’ll keep an eye on this repetitive trend. Stay tuned. Stay tuned.
