Robots were cool to talk to when I was a three-year-old with my Speak & Spell, but when I'm trying to figure out how to setup my damn wireless router and having to deal with an automated voice system, I fight for my sanity while it echoes all my answers like a miserable patient with a voice box. Usually I speak in gibberish until it connects me to real person or continuously press 0. However, sometimes it just hangs up on you when you do this. Thankfully, there's a big list out there that shows you how to cut through all those damn menus. —James Y Lee
