Jail Time for Grasshopper Kaplan ... Yes, 1,400 People Voted for This Guy
Grasshopper Alec Kaplan, the homeless cabdriver and former mayoral candidate who told reporters that English is his "third and only language" was sentenced on Monday to nine months in county jail for threatening a passenger while driving his unlicensed taxi.
It was the culmination of a series of unfortunate events for Kaplan, who also recently raised eyebrows by allegedly playing his guitar while reclining atop his lavender minivan cab — without his clothes on.
Let's hope things get better for Grasshopper Kaplan. And for those of you who voted for him — God help you, too.
