Former Catholic Priest, SF Radio Host Popped For Kiddy Porn
Wow, I know I should be shocked, but somehow I'm just not. San Francisco radio personality and former Catholic priest Bernie Ward has been indicted on federal child porn charges. The KGO 810 AM News Talk Radio and GodTalk (insert joke here) host surrendered to the feds earlier today. According to Uncle Bernie's lawyer, the dual indictments stem from "research for a book" that Ward was working on more than three years ago about "hypocrisy in America," during which he actually downloaded several images of child pornography. I'm getting a very strong Pete Townsend vibe off this story, and for Ward's sake, I hope it turns out the same way.
