Local politico Bevan Dufty just spammed us with an event this Monday. Dude wants people to go drop coin in the Castro 12.10 to offset the damage done when the fucked up assholes at City Hall killed Halloween. From the PR:

I would be very grateful if you would come to one of these bars and/or dine at one of the Castro's great restaurants or shop any of our great stores and take a moment to say thank you for their help on Halloween. ... I will be at the Twin Peaks with stars from Hot House and Donna Sachet will be the the Edge. We plan to have surprises at every location.

Oooh. Suprises. Yay. If it's not a free, reach-around apology for what happened this year, you're so off our X-Mas list, Bevan! Full release after the jump. —David Downs

Happy Holidays -- Many bars, restaurants and businesses closed early on Halloween. In part because of these sacrifices, we had a violence-free evening and now have the opportunity to re-invent the celebration of Halloween in San Francisco for 2008. In order to say thank you, this Monday, December 10th, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. we are organizing events to make up for lost business. I would be very grateful if you would come to one of these bars and/or dine at one of the Castro's great restaurants or shop any of our great stores and take a moment to say thank you for their help on Halloween. Thanks so much and hope we all have a great 2008. BEVAN

P.S. I will be at the Twin Peaks with stars from Hot House and Donna Sachet will be the the Edge. We plan to have surprises at every location. Contact Thom Lynch of Lynch Pin Associates (thomlynch@mac.com or (415) 298-8466 with questions.

Thanks to the Castro CBD, Clubcard for designing our graphics, the SF Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) and David Perry & Associates.
