For those who can't stand the smug. We'll synopsize it for ya.

Front of the book:
Wahh, Condos bad!
Wah, Corporations bad!
Wah, Cops bad!
Wah, ticketing beggars bad!

Advertising: The Center for Arms Control and Nonproliferation wants to protect Iran's right to hang fags and make nukes. Awesome!

Back of the book:
Wahhh, TV's bionic woman bad!
Arts and Calendar section? Pretty good.

P.S. Our sex columnist kicks the shit out of the Guardian and the Chron's. Good thing Savage doesn't live in Iran.

It sounds like the SF Weekly is saying
Wahh, Wahh, doesn't every in SF know we are the best independent daily in town?
Wah, Wah, why doesn't every read our rag?!!

FYI - I don't work for the SFBG or even know anyone who does. I am just an SF resident who is sick of our independents fighting each other. Well, if you can consider a New Times-owned indie rag an independent paper..

dude says:

You had me convinced of the SFBG's douchebaggery until you took the Bush line on Iran, you moron(s)

elpuma says:

Why no

Wah, Newsom bad!

since the issues all about the election? Afraid of twisting Matt Smith's panties?

Also, bionic woman is in the front of the mag, and Savage is hardly "your" columnist. He's syndicated in about a hundred papers.

bart simpson says:

Um...what is the point of this?

You hate the guardian. Duh. You're competing against them.

I know that. So why don't you focus on making your paper better, have better stories, and cut down on the snark and increase the journalism?

Oh wait, you can't. Your corporate masters down in Phoenix want more attitude. Oh and they do that because they don't believe in spending a dime on real reporting.

Sit down, take a pill, and write something worth reading. Stop bitching about your competition - you don't want to have the whining of a Steven T Jones do ya?
