Racial DNA Profiling Catches Killers: Commence Hand-Wringing

So yeah, we're all equals in the eyes of the Lord. But down here on Earth, your DNA is different. Wired has an article this week about companies offering "Racial DNA Profiling," which seems like a loaded term. I mean, we all hate racial profiling, but it's not like we're pulling over guanine because it's black and it's male and it's hat's down low, but whatever. From Wired:

"The accuracy of the test was right on," says Napa police commander, Jeff Tromley. "They described the suspect as a blue-eyed, blond-haired, white male. When he walked in to the police station, he was a blue-eyed, blonde-haired white man."
...
When I tried to describe how it works, he literally screamed at me, calling Frudakis a hack and a charlatan who obviously did not understand statistics.
...
"In this society where race is such a powerful idea, once you head down this path toward predicting race, will the next step be predicting racial behavior?"

So here's what's going to happen:
-DNA studies will be able to pinpoint hereditary disease, physical attributes, mental attributes, and behavioral attributes within the next ten to 20 years.
-Races will turn out to score different as whole. But the difference will be negligible because DNA-based attributes will be probabilities and will be constantly confounded by the environment's effect on development.
-What we'll see is an emphasis on development in accordance with your attributes, but even that will backfire, because humans are slippery fuckers. You watch. -- David Downs
