Separated at Birth? -- World's Ugliest Dog and... Stripe?

The Snitch has already pointed out the unsettling resemblance between Phil Spector, who murdered Paul McCartney's "The Long and Winding Road" with cheesy strings (and may have murdered a onetime Hollywood bombshell) and Carole Migden, a State Senator and hitchhiker's absolute worst nightmare.
Once again, it's apropos of nothing and certainly less weighty than a music producer fighting a murder rap and a state senator battling Leukemia (and state traffic laws), but we couldn't help but notice the eerie similarity between Elwood, the newly crowned World's Ugliest Dog at the Sonoma Marin Fair...

...and Stripe the evil Gremlin from the eponymous 1984 film.

Separated at birth? Maybe, maybe not. But for God's sake, don't feed that dog after midnight. --Joe Eskenazi
