My wife is due to have our baby any day now. When she goes into labor, I want to document the process in real time on Twitter, which I think would make compelling reading. That probably sounds horrible, but I'm a writer, and like many writers, my life often serves as material. I mean, how could I not write about one of the most dramatic things that will ever happen to me?

Of course, it's not just about me. While my wife usually supports my weird writing experiments, she's not so sure about this one. What do you think? Should I put the iPhone away during my son's birth, and not tweet?

Yeah, that's how you are when you flirt with your boyfriend on Facebook or Twitter. It just makes us all awkward and kind of embarrassed for you. How insecure are you with your own relationship that you must publicly declare how you feel about each other spread across every single social network? You "<3" him on Facebook? Yeah, well, all of your friends think you guys are vomit-inducing.
 
Actually, wait, if you guys can be funny and witty with each other while flirting, then we may want to see that. Or, if you have an actual fight or are passive-aggressively mad at each other. Yeah, we like that. We like to make fun of you behind your back and take bets on when you two will either breakup or get married. Most bets are on the breakup. But, don't worry. People defy odds all the time. I'm sure you guys will live happily ever after. No, really. Just as long as you keep using Facebook and Twitter to prove to us all how much you love each other. That's true love right there. No, really.

Dear Jamie,

I'm new to this whole blogging thing and I keep seeing that a lot of my favorite bloggers have started a Facebook fan page for themselves. Do you think this is a good idea? Should I be putting time into a fan page? And, if I start one, what do I do with it? Invite other people to be a fan and then post updates? I'm confused!

Dear Jamie Varon,

I've been looking for a new job and inflated my resume andqualifications on my LinkedIn profile because I thought it could help me look attractive to other employers. The only problem is that I forgot that I'm connected to certain people in my company and now feel like it's really obvious I'm looking for a new job. I feel really guilty about it, but changing my profile again will only arouse further suspicions.
