Burger Boogaloo Announces 2014 Lineup: Ronnie Spector, Milk 'N' Cookies, More

After a successful outing last year at Oakland's Mosswood Park, Burger Boogaloo -- the two-day Bay Area festival presented by Fullerton's Burger Records -- is coming back this July 5-6, 2014. The annual gathering of the cult of big yellow button-wearers will this year be honored with a headlining set from the girl-group leader, legend, and major influence Ronnie Spector of the Ronettes. Also noteworthy is the first West Coast appearance by Long Island proto-punk band Milk 'N' Cookies -- and many names on the list of punk, garage, and pop bands (several of them local) who'll be strutting in Oakland this summer.
