Warren Hellman Museum to Hold Holiday Hours Next Week, Shut Down for January

Michael Pedro, caretaker of the Warren Hellman Museum
The Warren Hellman museum behind Slim's will close for good at the end of this month. But if you want to take a peek at the museum's exhibits before that, it will hold special holiday hours next week, and will be selling Hardly Strictly Bluegrass merchandise as well.

The museum, which honors the life and contributions of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass founder Warren Hellman, will be open from 11 a.m to 7 p.m. on Dec. 23 and Dec. 27 before closing permanently in January. (Museum organizers tell us the plan was always for the museum to be open during 2013 only, so it's coming to the end of its run.)

Before the closure, though, you've got a chance to get some HSB merchandise for the bluegrass fan in your life. Better make your selections early!
