Sleeping Bieber, Protesting Lennon, and Notable Bed-Related Moments in Music History

John and Yoko, staying in bed for peace.
Two days ago, video footage emerged proving that Justin Bieber, like other humans, requires sleep. A young lady in Brazil filmed the slumbering Biebs on her way out of his room and into what was probably the most joyful walk of shame ever. Several questions immediately emerged, including: Why is he sleeping on a giant couch? Does he always snuggle up next to a baseball cap? Why hasn't he got a proper comforter? And, who is this lucky lady? Mostly we're impressed with the fact that, having woken up in the same room as one of the most desired males on earth, she decided to bail on breakfast with him. Classy!

You can see the clip here:

Biebs isn't the first musician to get into hot water over something bedroom-related. Here are five other notable bed-related moments in musical history.

1. Katy Perry Gets Humiliated by Crap Husband

There isn't a woman on earth who wants to have her photo taken one second after waking up. But when Russell Brand caught then-wife Katy Perry on camera, off-guard and looking decidedly haggard, he just went ahead and put that on Twitter for the entire world to see. After that, the divorce was just inevitable, frankly.

2. In Bed With Madonna

American Madonna fans know her 1991 on-the-road documentary as Truth or Dare. But to the rest of the world, thanks to Miramax assuming that only Americans would understand the reference to the well-known game, the movie was called In Bed With Madonna -- a title that Madge reportedly hated and called "stupid." Maybe don't pose in bed for the movie poster then?

3. Rihanna and Chris Brown: Busted by a Blanket

On New Year's Day, 2013, both Rihanna and Chris Brown hit Twitter to say good morning to the world, in photo-form. The two had been denying being an item again for months, but failed to realize that people would notice they were under the same, rather distinctive, comforter in the photos they Tweeted. Idiots.

4. John and Yoko's Bed-In

In 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono believed that if they stayed in bed for long enough, and let enough members of the press watch them, it would bring about world peace -- or at the very least, end the Vietnam War. This was utterly bonkers on a number of levels, but also rather charming, as is evidenced in the documentary about the couple's bed-ins, Bed Peace. Yoko has since said that she and her new husband "were so naive to think that doing the bed-in might help change the world."

5. Hayley Williams Attacked by Hacker

We don't usually care much when famous people's naked cell phone photos leak, but when Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams got phone hacked and a topless photo of her was promptly posted on Twitter, our tiny black hearts broke for her and her lovely boyfriend (Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory), who clearly was the only person who was supposed to see this. Williams was shaken by the experience but stayed positive, Tweeting: "Thank you so much for all the support. Overwhelming. Today is a new day. Gonna keep my head up high." Attagirl!
