Watch: Thao Nguyen's "Feeling Kind" Video Is a Lovely Ode to the New Bay Bridge

Categories: Video

Thao Nguyen, riding the bridge.
The new span of the Bay Bridge may be an obvious setting for local music videos, but leave it to folk-rocker-with-a-conscience Thao Ngyuen to fete the bridge as well as we've yet seen. This new clip for the jazzy stomper "Feeling Kind" has Nugyen and Co. grooving all up and down the eastern span's pedestrian walkway, interspersed with lovely footage of the Bay and Treasure Island to boot. It helps that, like most of the songs on Thao's latest album, "Feeling Kind" is excellent -- a bittersweet New Orleans-y blues about hitting pause on your modern worries, or at least trying to. The clip premiered on Stereogum today, but you can watch it here:

Thao and the Get Down Stay Down play S.F. next on Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day!) with Sonny and the Sunsets at the Fillmore.
