Stop Everything and Play With This New Music Video for "Like a Rolling Stone"
The words "new Bob Dylan music video" don't usually set our hearts a-flutter, especially after the upsetting fever dream that was "Must Be Santa" -- which, really, we're still hoping was the result of Dylan losing a bet, owing someone money, and/or showing up to a video shoot on Ambien.
But no matter! Because this new interactive, choose-your-own-adventure-style video for "Like a Rolling Stone," which premiered on his homepage today to promote a new Dylan box set, is the most fun we've had in ages with a song that's nearing 50 years old. Actually, screw that. It has Marc Maron, Danny Brown, and "The Price is Right" in it. It's the most fun music video we've seen this year, period.
Yoni Bloch, CEO of Interlude, the digital agency that created the video, told Mashable that new channels will be eventually be added, so you should probably keep watching it over and over again, given that "you'll always miss something because you can't watch everything at the same time."
Go now. Enjoy. Bonus: If you play it enough times and find yourself belting the lyrics out alongside the TV personalities, you'll be getting in some reps for tomorrow night's sing-alongs at the San Francisco premiere of Dylan Fest.
And hey, Uncle Bob: Thanks for the early Thanksgivukkah present. All is forgiven.
