Outside Lands 2013 Is Close to Selling Out
If you're still on the fence about whether you're going to see Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, D'Angelo, the National, and others at this year's Outside Lands festival, you might want to decide soon. Sources at the festival tell SF Weekly that tickets for the three-day event in Golden Gate Park this Aug. 9-11 are expected to sell out promptly.
Both general admission and VIP tickets will be gone in about a week to 10 days, assuming sales continue at the current rate, says festival publicist Ken Weinstein. Currently, VIP and GA three-day passes are available. Sunday general admission tickets are already gone. Prices range from $105-$545. (If you're only able to go for one day, we definitely recommend Friday.)
This wouldn't be the first sell-out for Outside Lands, but it would be the earliest. Last year, the festival ran out of tickets eight days before its start, according to Weinstein. In previous years, the festival has sold out of single-day tickets. Capacity this year remains at 65,000 per day.
