The Rolling Stones Announce Two Bay Area Concerts in May

Just as we were expecting, the Rolling Stones this morning announced a U.S. leg of their ongoing 50 and Counting Tour for this spring. And just as expected, it includes two dates in the Bay Area next month.

The Stones will perform May 5 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, and May 8 at HP Pavilion in San Jose. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 8, with a presale starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 5. Pricing information is not yet available, but the top tickets are expected to go for $500-$650.

"The band will treat their generations of fans to an evening of classic Stones hits like
'Gimme Shelter,' 'Paint It Black,' 'Jumping Jack Flash,' 'Tumbling Dice,' and 'It's Only Rock and Roll,' curated with lesser known gems, and a cover or two," said a statement released today.
