Fauxchella: Your Guide to Enjoying Coachella 2013 in the Bay Area

Fauxchella: (Many of the) same bands, fewer people, no sweltering heat.
The 2013 Coachella lineup has been announced and the Tumblrs expressing confusion as to its contents have already launched. But before you go scrambling for those pricey tickets, remember this: Lots of these artists end up playing in the Bay Area right around the same time, especially now that Coachella has solidified the whole two consecutive weekend concept.

While many artists have yet to announce their spring touring schedules (and some have big gaps right after Coachella), others have already officially slotted their time in the Bay Area. Ready to mark those calendars? Here are shows where you can get a taste of the Coachella experience without the heatstroke and faux hippies -- and you can bet that more announcements will be coming soon.

Fauxchella is in April, not January or June. Bit of a stretch with some of those dates...

Cool article..SF is definitely reaping the benefits of two weekends of Coachella. My understanding  is that all these bands sign something saying they won't play LA during that week between the fest so everyone is coming up her..But does EVERY article about Coachella have to make reference to hipsters or hippies?
