Members of Journey to Appear at Castro Theatre This Thursday for SF Int'l Film Festival

"Don't Stop Believin'" is the name of a song by Journey that you may have heard at karaoke a few times. Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey is also the name of a new documentary about the band and its new Filipino singer, Arnel Pineda, that will screen this Thursday at the Castro Theatre for the closing night of the San Francisco International Film Festival.

Film festival screenings often include special guests, but this Thursday's will be extra special, at least for Journey fans: Along with director Ramona S. Diaz, we're told that all the current members of Journey will also be there for the screening (and, we hope, the after party).

Yup, that means hanging out with Neil Schon, Ross Valory, and Pineda --who was discovered on YouTube by the band and hired to replace original Journey singer Steve Perry -- all in person, this Thursday in S.F. So anyone who regularly butchers Journey songs at their local bar is required to show up and meet the unwitting gods of karaoke. It's simply the only respectable thing to do.
