I Love This City Festival Moved to Shoreline From AT&T Park Parking Lot

Well, it appears that the parking lots surrounding AT&T Park won't be the site of a new mega-rave in San Francisco after all. Citing "production challenges," the organizers of the I Love This City Festival have moved the two-day event to Shoreline Amphitheatre, and opted to offer partygoers free shuttles from S.F. to Mountain View.
The May 25 and 26 festival will bring Tiësto, David Guetta, Duck Sauce, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, and many other big-name electronic artists to the Bay Area. (See the full lineup here.) By moving the event to Shoreline, promoter Live Nation can admit those age 16 or older, and offer lawn tickets for $50 on Friday and $60 on Saturday ($99 for both days). All the reserved seating for the event is sold out; those who bought VIP tickets will get access to the VIP areas at Shoreline.
Despite the relocation, organizers promise "multiple art installations, over 4,000 sq. ft of LED screens, and over 80 of Vau De Vire Society's most talented acrobats, aerialists, contortionists and burlesque performers." They're asking ticketholders who plan to use the free charter bus shuttle to register on the festival's website.
The move to Mountain View is kind of a bummer for those who were hoping S.F. would see a new, large outdoor electronic event -- and it does make us wonder about the suitability of the festival's name. But there is one kinda good thing, at least for those who'll get reserved seats: Designed by Bill Graham to host Grateful Dead shows, the aisles between the seats at Shoreline were built extra-wide to allow plenty of room for spirited (and, um, intoxicated) dancing.
