Berkeley High Students Set a New World Record for Longest 'Soul Train' Line

Berkeley High students with their newly won Guinness World Record certificate.
From the department of educationally awesome:
Berkeleyside reports that this past Monday, about 300 Berkeley High School students, faculty, and alumni danced down an after-school Soul Train line -- the arrangement where people form two walls with a space in the middle, then shimmy down it, like on the classic TV show. The number of participants officially made this the longest Soul Train line in the world, according to a Guinness World Record certificate presented to the group.

The attempt took about an hour on Monday afternoon, and even though 211 dancers were officially counted, about 300 participated altogether. That is, um, amazing
Check out more photos of the dance party here. And Berkeley High, you are officially rad.
