Steve Jobs, Apple founder, computer visionary, and music technology innovator, died today at age 56.

His impact on many field of music technology is incalculable. Among many innovations, Jobs gave music fans the iPod, the iTunes store, the iPad, and the dedicated attention of one of the world's most creative companies. Led by Jobs, Apple helped put the the personal computer and other devices at the center of the listening experience, forever changing how we enjoy music.

Thanks, Steve. We'll miss you dearly.
