Hunx and His Punx' "Lovers Lane" Video Is as Grainy and Melodramatic as It Should Be

This feels like the quintessential Hunx and His Punx: Hunx (aka Seth Bogart) prances around on a dingy street corner, gets picked up by a crew of rowdies in a vintage convertible, and heads off to a trashy/classy dance party to perform a song backed by the Punkettes, his all-female band. Love interests are pursued. Heart-shaped balloons make a cameo. And the thing looks like it was all shot on glorious, grainy film. So maybe director Hannah Lew and videographer Renny McCauley did just capture much of what makes this oldies-punk crew from S.F. so damn likeable. In any case, the mythic personas and thrift-store glam are in full bloom here. Check out the clip for "Lovers Lane," below, and see for yourself.
