Exclusive Premiere: Forrest Day's Fittingly Energetic Video for "Hyperactive"

After watching Forrest Day play so hard at last year's All Shook Down fest that the exhausted frontman actually passed out onstage midsong, we became instant fans. Day's group plays an unusual blend of jazz, rock, hip-hop, and funk -- there are sax solos, heavy grooves, and the singer's tumbling stream of rhyming words, all of which add up to something that is most decidedly not boring. The band's live shows, even when they don't lead to sudden unconsciousness, are fevered, sweaty, joyous affairs -- as this new video for "Hyperactive" illustrates. Melding footage from a headlining gig at Great American Music Hall earlier this year with visual proof of the band's tour antics (skateboarding on a freeway?!), this video is almost as exciting as seeing the band in person. Almost.
