Watch: Moe Green Reps Vallejo in New Video for "707"

Yeah, Moe Green has a new EP, Lionheart, dropping this weekend. But that isn't stopping him from dropping other stuff -- including videos for songs that aren't even on the new record. Witness, then, this clip for "707": It flips a sample from the Weeknd's "Glass Table Girls" into a fist-pumping rhyme-spit about Green's hometown of Vallejo. Dig the sandwiched shots and sepia-toned scenery. And then ponder what this dude will be dropping next.
Note that "707" is the second time in recent months that Green has sampled one of these newfangled Internet-hot R&B artists. In April,
Green redid Frank Ocean's "Swim Good" into his own "Swim Great." His sampling of the Weeknd is a bit shorter and less obvious here, but it's nonetheless interesting what Green decides to use as source material.
Green is releasing a new EP, Lionheart, this Saturday. There's a release party Thursday at the Beta Lounge in Berkeley. Show up between 8 and 9 p.m., and you even get a copy of the new record for free.
