So That Black Lips Show on Sunday Has Been Canceled
![]()
What they're doing instead?
It was to be the weekend of the Black Lips in S.F.: Shows at Great American Music Hall on Saturday and Sunday, the first weekend since today's release of the Atlanta punk outfit's (very fine) fourth album, Arabia Mountain. Alas, it will have to be the Saturday night of the Black Lips instead, as Sunday's show has been canceled.
Why has it been canceled? Well, the various managers and promoters involved are chalking it up to "unforeseen scheduling conflict," which translates to these ears as "somebody fucked up." Parse it however you like: The important thing is that those of you with Sunday tickets can either use them on Saturday's show -- they will get you in -- or get a refund. (You have until 2 p.m. Saturday to get a refund from the place you purchased tickets.)
So, just be clear, you can still see the Black Lips in San Francisco this weekend. You just have to do it on Saturday night.
