| Guerrero: Doin' his part for Japan. |
In just the latest of several Japan earthquake benefit shows to hit S.F., local skater/musical mastermind
Tommy Guerrero has announced plans with the food and drink lovers over at
Umamimart for
a special event at the
Crescent Hotel's Burritt Room. Guerrero, who recently dropped a new album of jazzy-folky-rock-y instrumental jamming called
Lifeboats and Follies, will bring a full band to the show, along with several DJs. All the proceeds from the event will go to
Second Harvest Japan, a Tokyo-based organization that's essentially Japan's first food bank.
The Gift of Food benefit goes down next Tuesday, April 5, at the Burritt Room, with food from Peko-Peko Japanese catering and Sandbox Bakery. The cost is $40 advance/$45 door -- but remember, all of it goes to help provide food and essentials to the people of Northern Japan.
