New Fist Family Video: From North Carolina to North Beach, Via the Median Strip

You may remember Asheville, NC transplants Fist Family from their dope car-chase video tribute to their adoptive hometown. Well, they're back, lamping around the slanty thoroughfares and dimly lit alleyways of North Beach and loitering in the literal middle of Columbus Ave, with the first single from their new album, Posted. Check it out below.

Amid the group's evident love for the dirt and grime and people-watching potential of their new hometown, we can hear Fist Fam wrapping their game tight around the raucous grit showcased on the new album. Posted finds them continuing to do what nobody else really does, in San Francisco or elsewhere: For starters, take the raspy swagger of Raekwon and the syllable-gnawing drawl of the Dungeon Family, set them against the sunny, horn-tipped canvases of the Youngblood Brass Band, and then add... fishing vests? Whatever you like. The band bio rings true for once: This is indeed "low-budget, grimy, soulful chaos."
