We don't really see the point in trying to be clever about this: Here's your chance to go to a barbecue with E-40. This Saturday, April 23, at True East in Walnut Creek, Earl Fortywater is joining forces with True and Undrcrwn to fête the release of his latest installments in the Revenue Retrievin' series, Overnight Shift and Graveyard Shift. In addition to the albums, you can pick up a mega-limited-supply T-shirt (that comes in a novelty baseball card wrapper, if you're into that kind of thing) and an ultra-limited-supply snapback hat. See video below.
The time of the event hasn't been disclosed yet, but stay tuned to the Undrcrwn blog -- and download a pretty fresh-looking summertime mix courtesy of DJ Jazzy Jeff and Mick Boogie while you're at it -- for details. Will Earl T-Shirt perform? Probably not: The flyer promises only an "E-40 appearance." But there'll be a live DJ, and barbecued meats, and all the loose-fitting urban fashions your carefully retrieved revenue can buy. Sounds worth a trip to Walnut Creek to us. Now watch the "Automatic" video again and try to amuse yourself until Saturday.
