Watch Hunx and His Punx' Seth Bogart Give an Interview in a Crazy Balloon Costume

The most conservative outfit Seth Bogart has ever worn.

This is like Lady Gaga-level wackiness here, folks: In a video interview done at Scion's Garage Fest, Hunx and His Punx' principal provocateur Seth Bogart wears a pretty-much-insane costume consisting entirely of colored balloons. You can't see his face. You can't see his arms. You can't -- for once -- see his body. All you can see are balloons. Um, wow?

Hunx explains that the costume was made by Kansas City designer Peggy Noland, who spent five days doing pretty much nothing but stitching balloons together to create it. "She just told me to wear it, so I did," he explains nonchalantly. At one point in the interview, Bogart's balloon hat falls off. Other highlights: "I fit into the garage rock scene in the Bay Area really well, because I'm the most popular," Bogart explains. So yeah, this is well worth watching if you haven't yet:

The interview was done before the release of Too Young to Be in Love, Hunx and His Punx' new album, so don't expect to hear much about that. (Instead, check back here, where we'll soon be posting our own interview with Bogart, conducted recently in one of his favorite S.F. gay bars.) The band celebrates the album's release this Saturday at Bottom of the Hill. No word on whether the balloon costume will make an appearance.
