Outside Lands Will Be Three Days Again This Year -- But Who Will Headline?

| Outside Lands in the sunshine (pleasant sigh). |
Outside Lands avatar Ranger Dave took to Twitter this morning to announce the dates for this year's festival: August 12-14. The numbers savvy among you will have already figured this out, but we'll spell it out for the rest: For Year Four, Outside Lands will run three days again, after shrinking to only two last year. Given that we were not so stoked about the lineup and the shortness last year (although yes, we had a pretty good time, and yes, we were still tired by the end), we're taking this as a positive sign.
At the very least, it's an excuse to take a summer Friday off, which is always something we can get behind. And if the very thought of tromping around Golden Gate Park with thousands of your fellow half-clothed NorCal music lovers is already making you yearn for summer, well, early bird passes go on sale this Friday for $149. And they're good for the entire weekend.
We'll weigh in with our dream list of performers and likely guesses for the three-day lineup in a little while, but for now, we'll leave you with this 100-percent-out-of-our-asses prediction: After kicking things off at last year's Bridge School Benefit, the recently reunited Buffalo Springfield is gonna play. Discuss. (And who else would you like to see?)
