MP3 Premiere: Spook-Folk From Brooklyn's O'Death, Playing Tomorrow at the Independent

Long-buzzed-about Brooklyn quintet O'Death is coming to town to prepare us for the gentle passage into pillowy nothingness that awaits us all. Oh, and also for their new album. They have a new album. It's called Outside, and it's coming out in mid-April on Ernest Jenning Record Co. What's it like? It's a somber affair, full of mournful passion and lilting folk spirituals that sometimes swoop without warning into swells of pseudo-mariachi abandon. It's pretty intense. The first single, the damnably catchy "Bugs," provides a good illustration.
