Lil B fucks with him.
The Jealous Guys fuck with him too. And you may or may not have heard of them yet, but Oakland's
Main Attrakionz are also in love with this New Jersey producer who is quietly leaving his mark on the Bay Area hip-hop scene. His name:
Clams Casino.
His mixtape, simply titled
Clams Casino Instrumental Mixtape, collects 14 beats he's made over the last year for the aforementioned artists (and
Souljah Boy as well). His sound lies somewhere between '90s, new-agey ambient music, and the 808-heavy, space-age sound of MJG and 8-Ball. Melodies flow over drums that hit with a mechanical precision. The end product is a sound that's beautiful, yet rugged. Plus there's a secret (read: completely untagged/unlabeled) track where he chops up Teddy Riley's "Teddy's Jam" into a neck-snapper.
