Britney Spears at Bill Graham Tickets Sell Out -- Instantly?

Well, that was fast. San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium holds about 7,000 people, but the free tickets to go see Britney Spears there on Sunday disappeared less than 10 minutes after going on sale at 9 a.m. this morning.

Twitter is of course filled with the gloating of Britney ticket winners and the whining of Britney ticket losers. But many are claiming -- as is common these days -- that the tickets were sold-out nearly instantly, or not available right at 9.

BUT THE FACT THAT IM NOT GOING TO SEE BRITNEY SPEARS IS A TRAGEDY I BLAME EXCLUSIVELY ON THE GAYS.less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhoneSanJoYouKnow

Reactions of course included smugness, mild disappointment, and bitter, hostile bigotry (see above). But one thing is clear now: Those free tickets are gone.

Of course, there are many people hawking them on Craiglist, for prices ranging from $85 to $300. (One $500 seller's post has been flagged -- that's just sick, people.)

This whole event has turned into a non-event, going from a free, impromptu "Happening in the Street" to a giant bought audience inside the SF Civic. And now, "tickets" that can be sold on Craigslist. Bad, bad idea just to push some Britney swag. Epic fail.

I got 4 tickets within a minute of each other. Very easy. Don'i know why people are trippin. It's the luck of the draw, and having fast fingers. Can't wait to see Brit's show!

Refreshed at 9AM, they were already sold out by 9:03AM. My fiance managed to snag tickets but he had three different browsers open to Ticketmaster and refreshed at about 8:59AM. I think the question is...how many of these tickets were actually sold??? I don't think they gave away 7,000 tickets...

Got em at 9:04 am even though it kept saying no tickets available.Paid $0.00. Not really a Britney fan but my sister is. I gave her my 2 tickets. She is very excited.
