It's called the Big 4
Tour -- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth, together on one bill -- and finally, after seven shows in Europe, it's coming to the U.S.
Only problem is the date and time -- and the fact that as of today's announcement, the long-awaited Big 4 Tour (sorry, make that "Festival") is only stopping in the U.S. once.
Those of you who can make it to the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, CA, (where Coachella is held) on April 23 (the weekend after Coachella is held), you're in luck: The bands are playing all on one day for "The Big 4 Festival."
Maybe you can already sense our disappointment here, but just to reiterate: Dudes played seven shows together in Europe, and they can only play together once in their home country?
We were hoping to see a Big 4 stop in the Bay Area, sorta home turf of Metallica and Megadeth. We certainly wouldn't mind if they'd drag their carnival of doom around the country for a few other dates, either. Especially since all of the bands except for Metallica did just that last year.
Tickets for this Big 4 Festival will be $99, and there are shuttle services planned from various urban agglomerations around Southern California. They go on sale at your friendly local Ticketmaster URL
Wake us up when they all play together in Nor-Cal, please.
