The Loved Ones, a (Be)Loved '90s S.F. Quartet, Are Reuniting for One Night Only

Categories: Reunions

Local music fans seasoned enough to have accrued a significant percentage of their adolescence (or, hell, their lives) prior to the adoption of the Internet may remember the Loved Ones, a celebrated S.F. power-pop quintet from the mid-'90s. They may also be thrilled to hear this: The Loved Ones are reuniting for one show only, later this month in S.F.

Frontman Bart Davenport, guitarist Xan McCurdy (who now plays in Cake), bassist Mike Therieauon, and drummer John Kent will perform for FREE on Saturday, December 18, at the Burritt Room inside S.F.'s Crescent Hotel. (The venue isn't a total surprise -- in addition to making music, Davenport now books shows at the Burritt Room.)

As we finish yet another reunion-heavy year in music, it's nice to see older local bands -- especially ones that didn't get their due -- reminding listeners of their former glory.
