To call Brownsville MC Sean Price an O.G. is correct on a couple of different counts: not only has he been at the rap game for almost two decades, but he was also gangsta before most of the gangstas we patronize today made gangsta rap into a market segment. Price started out as half of the hardcore duo Heltah Skeltah,* which was also folded into the venerable Boot Camp Clik; both are seldom discussed nowadays, but Sean P's been at it solo for the last few years, still thuggish-ruggish as ever: not threatening, really, just kind of grimy in an awesomely formidable way.

Anyway, Price is coming to Mighty tomorrow night, along with Detroit's Danny Brown and Vallejo's own Moe Green, to build hype for his forthcoming LP, Mic Tyson. (Think that's an audacious name? Then you haven't listened to Jesus Price Supastar.) The rap impresarios at 2dopeboyz are hosting a promotion whereby you can win tickets for the price of posting your favorite line from Price's work. My personal favorite:
Never test me when I'm crazy highHit it! Gonna have to get cracking, though, especially if you want to beat whoever submitted the line where Price uses Ong Bak as a verb. Although, yeah, you could always just buy tickets here. Like a chump.
