Workers setting up for the Treasure Island Music Festival suffered minor injuries this afternoon after the roof of a stage partially collapsed.

The workers jumped about five feet off the stage, injuring their ankles, according to Allen Scott, vice president of Another Planet Entertainment, the festival's co-promoters.

Scott said the roof the main festival stage was being raised, after it was loaded with sound and lighting equipment, when one side of it collapsed. In order to avoid being hit by the roof, the workers jumped.

Scott said two employees were injured, but KGO and ABC News reported that it was actually three. They were treated by medical personnel on the scene.

The collapse won't affect the festival, which runs this Saturday and Sunday. "We're just trying to see if this roof is usable or how we need to proceed," Scott said.
