Now there's a Giant's Hip-Hop Anthem: DJ Amen and Prince Aries' 'Black & Orange'

Categories: Music
The competition for the banner song of this so-far-so-good Giants season is getting fierce, folks. Ashkon Davaran's "Don't Stop Believing" take-off may have won the official title, and Death Cab's Ben Gibbard given yesterday's national anthem honors (see above), but we've got another grand-slammin' potential anthem for you, this one of the hip-hop variety, recorded and given away free by locals DJ Amen, Prince Aries, San Quinn, Davinci, Roach Gigz, Big Rich, and Cellski. Big beats and big praise for the hometown boys, after the jump.

The tune's called "Black & Orange," and rides a thumping, titantic beat while the various MCs step in and testify to the Giants' awesomeness and give shout-outs to various members: Lincecum, Posey, Bochy, etc. Lyrics like "World Series destination" have we wincing out of fear of possible jinxing, but, hell, what would a rap song be without a little boasting?

Download the tune for free here and leave your thoughts in the comments.

Oh, and -- do we need to say it? -- go Giants.
