Make a Famous Musician -- Wayne Coyne! Bob Weir! -- Remind You To Vote
Plus, you always have the excuse that Muni made you late, or that you're still so obliterated from your party-tastic weekend that you just plain forgot.
Here's a way to remember this year: sign up to have a famous musician call to remind you the day before. Pick from a huge list of potentials, and imagine how they'd want you to vote, after the jump.
This group called HeadCount is doing this thing where they get musicians to record messages reminding harried working folks like us to vote -- Muni excuses be damned. For the cost of nothing, you can sign up to have one of these allegedly famous people remind you:
- Brett Dennen (who?)
- Bob Weir (of Grateful Dead fame -- how do you think he'll vote on Prop. 19?)
- ?uestlove (The Roots)
- Grace Potter
- Jon Fishman (Phish)
- Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits)
- Matt Berninger (the National)
- Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Bros.)
- Wayne Coyne (the Flaming Lips)
- Willie Nelson
- Yim Yames (My Morning Jacket)
- Adam Gardner (Guster)
With such a broad selection of nagging voices -- and the chance that one of these folks will actually call you in person ("Hey, Willie, how should I vote on legalizing pot?" would start a priceless conversation) -- we pretty sure you've run out of good reasons not to vote.
