Neon Indian sending out those chill waves live.
You know how to read, right? Of course you do--you're looking at this blog. Well, go ahead and double check that headline if you want, but yes, we are indeed giving away tickets to the Neon Indian and Prefuse 73 concert that's going down tonight at Mezzanine. But first, here's a quick primer on the two acts, in case you're not familiar.

Neon Indian is one singer/songwriter/producer from Austin, Texas, named Alan Palomo. He wrote an album last year called Psychic Chasms; a lot of people loved it, and it helped spawn something we've all been forced to call "chillwave." Live, Palomo is joined by a backing band, and they play warbling, hazy electro-pop tunes that sound like an old tape recording of androids covering Steely Dan songs, or something. Neon Indian's songs have names like "Deadbeat Summer," "Terminally Chill," and "Should Have Taken Acid With You," if that means anything to you.

Prefuse 73 is a dude named Scott Herren who more or less invented a sound commonly called glitch-hop. His first album, Vocal Studies + Uprock Narratives, put him on next-level pioneer status next to dudes like DJ Shadow, back in the day. Basically, Herren was like the Flying Lotus of his time, as he was deft with a sampler and showed us a new way to make hip-hop. Expect his live show to be a whirlwind of a genre-bending much like his extensive discography. One time, Prefuse 73 released an EP of all remixes for The Books' album The Lemon of Pink, which is really cool.

So, now that you're caught up, let's give out some tickets! We have a pair for each of the first three people that comment on this story who can tell us another name that either Alan Palomo or Scott Herren produce music under. Get to Googling!
