Tectonic Youth: Eight Songs For Today's Supposed Earthquake
What better way to close out National Preparedness Month than by getting all paranoid about the possibly apocryphal 7.0 earthquake that may or may not tear up Los Angeles today? Not like anything awesome was gonna happen in October anyway.
Everything will probably be FINE, but it's worth taking a moment to think about the last song you want to hear before perishing in a bizarre seismic act of God. We've started the grim little thought experiment for you: below are some songs that, if nothing else, will help you go out trapped under the weight of your overweening sense of irony.
Beck "Earthquake Weather"
Tori Amos "Little Earthquakes"
Tag Team "Whoomp! (There It Is)"
Dan Deacon "Wham City"
AC/DC "Shook Me All Night Long"
Jawbreaker "Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault"
Broken Social Scene "Meet Me in the Basement"
