Bay Area's DJ Qbert Named America's Best DJ

Qbert, who has been coined the Jimi Hendrix of turntablists, isn't exactly a dark horse pick -- he may not be an invisible skratch pickl anymore, but he does have a huge global following, his own line of DJ accessories, a video game, and -- this really caps it all off -- his own university.
Yet for the two years prior to his winning the ABDJ trophy (which is of course a gold-plated Pioneer mixer), Emperor Qbert came in second at the annual scratching and turntable tricks competition. Now that he's officially won, Qbert will be feted at a huge party in Las Vegas early next month, where we hear he will unveil his new lines of sparkling wine and record label-inspired lingerie.
Just kidding about the last part.
