This is a picture of a ninja. The label is called Ninja Tune. That was all the connection we needed.

We don't really remember it all that well, but our twentieth birthday party probably involved a case of Tecate, a few Modest Mouse records, and our roommate's six-foot bong. Whatever the details, we're pretty sure it was on an altogether different scale of cool from the global parties that electronic label Ninja Tune is throwing for it's twentieth year of committing beats to plastic. San Francisco being the hotbed of electronic music that it is, we're getting our own free celebration (along with places like Berlin, Brussels, New York, and some city called L.A.). The S.F. shindig goes down October 29th at 1015 Folsom, and will include performances by Ninja Tune artists Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, Eskmo and others. Entrance is free if you RSVP here. But we guess you should probably leave the bong at home.
